Bad Weather Games is an independent studio of 110 people. We build player-first experiences designed to last for years, not weekends.
We build worlds people stay in. Every title we ship is designed to grow with its community, supported by a live content roadmap and a team that listens.
A management game about running a studio. Twenty-one decisions, three numbers, and one of them is hidden from you until the end. Originally built as an internal onboarding exercise. We decided to release it.
Our flagship live experience, now in Season 14. Deep Water expands the world of Saltmarsh with an evolving seasonal narrative, a thriving cosmetics ecosystem, and squad-based progression built around playing with friends.
The game that started the studio. Saltmarsh is no longer available for purchase and its servers were retired in 2022. We are unable to respond to requests regarding preservation, source files, or community-run alternatives.
We restructured in 2025 to focus on what we do best. The studio that came out the other side is leaner, faster, and more aligned than it has ever been.
Our team is our only real asset. We invest in them, we're honest with them, and we make sure everyone understands how their work connects to the numbers that keep the lights on.
We plan realistically and protect our people's time. Occasional extended hours around a launch are part of making games, and we compensate that with flexibility on the other side.
We believe monetisation should be optional, transparent, and generous. Every purchase in our games is a choice, and we work hard to make sure it always feels like one.
Bad Weather Games is an equal opportunity employer. We offer competitive salaries, unlimited time off, and equity for every full-time employee after a twelve-month vesting cliff.
